life as a SAHM with several kids
Been there, done that. I miss those days. I think that my big regret in life will be that we stopped at six kids - but I honestly expected to have several grandkids by this time in my life.

Thanks, Alicia! I added that to my favorites!

I had to go read it of course! Then I had to comment.

One of the things I like about being a midwife is that I get the opportunity to reassure many moms of every age group that *IT's Ok!! IT's Normal!!* 98/100 times all of us go through the same thoughts, feelings, lack of sleep, etc. Even the guys do, and I might add that they are re-assured when I tell them it's ok too. Of course there are a very few whom experience an extreme and may need more than just re-assurance, but opening the door helps them to recognize if the coping is not happening, it's ok to ask for help.

Some folks are just plain in denial if they say that there was never a time of frustration mixed in with the joy. My husband and I can't imagine how life would have been without our kids. We have discussed that recently in fact, and man, does it seem bleak! Well, we did sort of muse about taking cruises- I could go for a couple more cruises. Guess it will remain on our "to-do" list.... The laundry though? Hmm. That's a tough one. The worst part about having a bunch of kids at home is the laundry- especially the socks. UGH! Yep- I think we would be ok about that...not so much laundry that is...
