Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, was the one thing I craved during my last pregnancy. I hoarded candy bars and ate at least one square a day, often more. Who knew there were health benefits?

It's good to know that all that chocolate I was eating was good for something.

Dark chocolate may be good for blood pressure all around. My mil, who has tried everything for her blood pressure, tried a tablespoon dark cocoa/day and it lowered her bp just as well as any of the prescriptions, and stayed effective about two weeks as long as most if them without any of the side effects.

My childbearing days are most likely over, but I will be glad to eat my daily chocolate as a show of solidarity with the younger ladies!!!

A blood pressure remedy????

I've had a hard time finding one that works for me. Maybe I should try a little chocolate self-medication!

I forwarded this on to a friend who just discovered she was pregnant. Since she is the type to want to do everything perfectly this will give her a laugh and hopefully some chocolate. Thanks!!
