a story of birth

a medical student remembers a midwife
You will need to register for medscape to read this. It's worth it. Medscape is a service I have been registered in for more than 10 years, and they have never once sent me spam or sold my email.

This was lovely, thank you so much for sharing it. My brother is in medical school right now and I always try to pass stories on to him of the gentle and wonderful care I have always received from midwives. By seventh baby is due in October and I am seriously tempted to allow him to be present for labor and delivery as I think it so vital to his medical training to get this perspective.
