My first car (purchased when I was a freshman in college the first time through) was a car that was only 2 years younger than I was. It was a 1957 Triumph TR3A, british racing green, 4 on the floor, rumble seat etc. Alas, after marriage and two children I had to trade it in on a more practical car - our 1976 Volkswagon minibus (also green).
My godmother was a Porsche fanatic. For years it was the only car she would own.
