I'm not that Bob, but thanks anyway for the tip - I've been spelling it wrong on my blogroll all this time! So mortifying, too, for someone who like to throw scraps of Latin around...

or is it the more rare us-us-ui-um-o?

According to my trusty First Year Latin textbook (acquired almost 40 years ago), "fructus" is indeed the latter: a 4th declension noun.
