How sadly ironic that her mother took her for contraceptives so that her life would not be ruined by having a baby. Her life has been ended by the device that promised her (her parents as well) freedom from babies or chastity, and I think being dead is a far worse fate than having a child or keeping your pants on.

It is devastating, the loss of live and, as Robin points out the ironing is heavy. But how horridly foolish and yes sinful of the parents to allow the use of this pill. God helps us, we care so little for human life. We are tragically selfish. God have mercy not only on "them" but on us each.
